About the Show

Jaia Lee The Living Beyond Belief Show

Do you feel as if you're living the life your soul intended?  Are you happy, alive and inspired?  Do you wake up feeling you are in the right place, doing what you love, with people you love?

Join us in this inspirational and educational show as we explore what it means to truly live from the heart, and discover how this way of living is contributing to the evolutionary change that is taking place in on the planet.  As we continue to evolve and grow in the awareness of who we are as spiritual beings, we will find ourselves naturally drawn to things that will support us in staying awake to the greater Reality of Who We really Are and what Life really Is.

We will discuss such topics as the practical application of spiritual principle and universal law, the difference between intellectual understanding and direct knowing through the heart, the  role of spiritual community, the natural and organic cycle of authentic change, the ways we talk ourselves out of ourselves and how to talk ourselves back in, how global transformation depends on individual transformation, care of the body as a spiritual practice, as well as other ways to remain inspired and enlightened in these times that have been prophezised about
throughout time.

The intention of the show is to provide support for one to open their heart and live their highest potential and destiny! During each show there will be a space created in the form of an exercise or guided meditation for the listener to let go of any old beliefs and limiting energy patterns that are ready to be released.

I thank you for the opportunity to be of service!

Jaia Lee

About Jaia

Jaia LeeI remember writing my first poem in second grade for a class project. It was one of those things that came surprisingly easily. During my teen years I wrote many poems, although it always seems strange to say that I wrote them. I remember many a time standing over the oversized dictionary in my parents bedroom looking up words I wasn't familiar with, but that had somehow found their way into my poem. It was always surprising to see those words fit perfectly into the context of the poem. For many years, in my late teens and twenties, I stopped writing completely. In hindsight, it seems I was fairly occupied with trying to hit rock bottom. I eventually succeeded, and in the strangest twist of fate, the event became the impetus for a never ending wellspring of creative inspiration. Go figure.

My spiritual journey in a (microscopic) nutshell.

I have been a student by means of independent study in psychology, philosophy and metaphysics since my early teen years, and recently graduated with a Master's degree in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica.

The Miracle of Death - Discovering Life through the Experience of Loss

To lose a loved one is a devestating and heartbreaking experience on the human level.  In Western culture, we usually stop there, focusing on how to manage the pain and loss, how to cope, and how to get on with our lives.

In Dr. Betty Kovacs book The Miracle of Death, she shares a profound and soul expanding account of the proces she went through with her husband when they lost their son in a car accident.  While grief was present, there was also a growing awareness that there was more to the story, and much more to who we are.

The Miracle Of Death

Through a series of dreams, visions, and events that came through the years, she was led to a direct experience of the Soul/Spiritual Self, an awareness in which death of the physical form is not a failure, a curse, or even a tragedy, but, impossible to the way we are taught to think and experience reality, a miracle.

If you are experiencing any kind of loss in your life, tune in to hear Dr. Betty Kovacs share her experience and open to the true miracle, that there is nothing but Life. Learn more at http://www.kamlak.com.

Sunday August 24, 2008 at 7pm - Beyond the Revolving Door; Using Prisons to Heal, Transform, and Awaken with Cindy Cirlincione

According to a Beareau of Justice Statistic, in the summer of 2006 there were over two and a quarter million people incarcerated in United States, and since that time the number has steadily increased. The prevailing attitude of punishment, then release, does nothing to make our streets safer. Join our guest Cindy Cirlincione, who has worked in the Federal Prison system for twenty four years, as we talk about solutions that involve a different intention, and that get a different result. We'll talk about her experience of working directly with inmates, the amazing results she has encountered along the way, and ways the we as a society can help to end the revolving door prision system syndrome.

Cindy Cirlincione, Drug Abuse Treatment Specialist at FCI-Terminal Island federal prison, has a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice-Law Enforcement and a Masters degree in Marriage, Family, Child therapy. She also is a certified kundalini yoga and meditation teacher, and in addition to facilitating a 12 step Big Book study group, she has been facilitating and teaching meditation classes at the prison since 1995 and recently incorporated kundalini yoga. Ms. Cirlinicione is a program manager at the prison and laisons with a large diverse community of outside volunteers. Ms. Cirlincione goes to work everyday because she believes that people who are incarcerated do change, but more than that she has seen so many inmates transform into our future leaders of hope to those who have little hope. She has seen so many inmates who simply have the desire to change receive some education, guidance and spiritual wisdom, and with direction take heed to the call of "Yes We Can".  Ms. Cirlincione's greatest joy is to see these men's lives transform and the impact not only on themselves, but how it affects their families, their loved ones, their interactions with their peers and even displaying compassion towards their keepers.

Sunday August 10, 2008 - Running for your Spiritual Life

Toby EstlerJoin author, life coach, and dear friend Toby Estler as he shares his experience as a runner and how it has helped him to achieve greater clarity and spiritual insights. This heart-centered and gifted writer and speaker will inspire and nurture you with his words whether or not you are a runner- but by the end of the hour, you just might want to become one!

“A number of years ago, I found myself looking out from a cell in London’s infamous Wormwood Scrubs prison. Craning my neck against the barred window, I was just able to see the corner of an expansive park beyond the prison walls. Compared to the drab grays that permeated my cell, the green grass looked more than simply alive - it seemed to represent life itself. I closed my eyes and imagined running across the park, breathing hard, free to roam . . .”   from Running Home: 35 Moving Meditations for Runners by Toby Estler

A foxhunt saboteur and demonstrator who served time in jail; a former 60-a-day smoker and drug user; a man whose choices almost broke apart his marriage—Toby Estler knows what real transformation is all about: looking for, discovering, and learning from the opportunities in everything that life brings. His writing and speaking styles are deeply personal, rich, entertaining, and uplifting. You will want to keep reading Running Home straight through to the finish line, before returning again and again to experience the inspiration of the moving meditations.  Go to http://www.RunningHomeOnline.com or http://wwwiRunInspired.com or http://www.iWalkInspired.com

Sunday June 1, 2008  -  We're All Doing Time

7pm Pacific (8pm MT, 9pm CT, 10pm ET)

Bo Lozoff
I met Bo Lozoff a few years ago when I was invited to come hear him speak inside the Federal prison I was doing work in.  At that time he spoke of the 40 day fast he had done as well as the long period of silence he engaged in, arising from a deep call of the heart. The talk was inspiring, rich with depth and insight, going beyond a typical, you need to clean up your act now, message to inmates.

Join myself and Bo Lozoff as we talk about the different levels of freedom; what is it really? We'll also talk about those things that can keep us stuck in illusions and distrations, those things which really don't serve us on a deeper level or contribute to the planetary shift occuring at this time. If you are feeling bound and tied-up, listen in to glean some insight as to how to liberate yourself and escape
the chains that bind you.

In 1973, Bo Lozoff and Ram Dass came up with the idea to help prisoners to use their prisons as ashrams. Neither Bo nor Ram Dass ever imagined that hundreds of thousands of hard-core convicts would be interested in such an idea, but within the first couple of years, the letters began pouring in and have not stopped to this day. Bo, along with his wife Sita, have visited hundreds of prisons, and Bo's books, including the well known, We're All Doing Time, continues to inspire and awaken. He is also a singer/songwriter and sells his music to help further the foundation.

Sunday March 10, 2008 - Falling Awake

Kirtana

A few years back I was sitting with a friend in his car when he said he would like to share some music with me.  The song began to play, and it wasn't long before tears came to my eyes, followed by a full and deep cleansing of the heart.  It had been a trying week and the song literally acted as water to a parched inner landscape. Sunday February 24, 2008 - Ordinary Women Extraordinary Wisdom ; The Feminine Face of Awakening

Rita Marie Robinson

As we continue to evolve and to become more aware of our true nature and being, enlightenment is taking on a new look.  What if our calling is to raise a family or run a small business instead of build an ashram?  Are we still a candidate for awakening, for living a spiritually enlightened life, without leaving the material world behind, and while living what would be deemed an ordinary life?

Join myself and Rita Marie Robinson, author of the book Ordinary Women Extraordinary Wisdom, as we talk about women who are doing just that, and how we can all tap into more of our own extraordinary wisdom.

Ordinary Wisdom Extraordinary Women

Like many of her generation, Rita Marie Robinson has been on a lifelong search. Innocently looking outside of herself for the answer, she explored many paths—from the occult to shamanism to Buddhism and New Thought Churches. Her work interests were equally eclectic—she worked as a radio journalist, in real estate sales and development, and finally as a psychotherapist.

She received her Masters Degree in 1995 from Pacifica Graduate Institute, known for its archetypal and soul-centered approach to counseling. After the death of her husband in 1994, Rita trained as a Hospice volunteer and in Compassionate Care of the Dying  with Joan Halifax. Rita has lived and worked in Santa Barbara, Santa Fe and Telluride, Colorado where she currently lives on a peaceful mountaintop with her husband, dog, and big garden.

Using the title of Patricia Broersma's book for this weeks topic, we will talk to her about her work with horses and the handicapped, as well as how working with horses has led her to own inner transformations, and ways in which we can come into a deeper remembering of our mythic selves through the mystery of these beautiful and magical creatures.

Sunday February 10, 2008 - Beyond the Birds and the Bees

Saida Désilets

In past times women and their bodies have been seen as evil and tempting to 'men of the cloth', and even mainstream messages today seem to still be laden with the admonition to be a good girl (supress) or to work it (manipulate).

So what's a girl (and a boy) to do?  What is healthy sexuality?  How does sex and sensuality fit into the New Spirituality? And, is there a way we can incorporate this area of our lives into our spiritual practice rather than sweep it under the proverbial rug- or to take the hedonistic route, potentially losing the sacred and divine aspect of our sexuality.  Join us for an hour of what is sure to be an educational and liberating conversation as our guest Saida Desilets shares her wisdom.

Saida Désilets, Ph.D(c) is the Founder of The Désilets Method and the author of The Emergence of the Sensual Woman. She is sought out world-wide for her expertise in the field of conscious sexual energy cultivation, bringing an innovative approach to the ancient wisdom of Taoist energy cultivation practices in a fun, simple, and practical method. Saida, through facilitating thousands of people globally, discovered that sexual energy is one of the most misunderstood and misused, yet abundant and creative resources available to everyone. Saida Désilets currently lives in Maui, Hawaii where she is completing her Ph.D. in Transpersonal Psychology.  To learn more go to http://www.thedesiletsmethod.com
