The History
On November 11, 2007 in an open letter to the world, Kevin Reid, songwriter, producer and founder of LLP Global Enterprises, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to local & global transformation for the benefit of all, announced an initiative to establish an internationally recognized “World Unity Day” sponsored by the United Nations. At the same time, he began a “Declaration of World Unity” petition, which has since been signed by over 3200 people from 101 countries. In June 2008, he began the process of building a coalition of leaders representing all fields of human endeavor to address the U.N. in 2009, while working to garner support from organizations and well-known individuals from all sectors of society.
