About Tim

Tim Jessup Tim Jessup is a 30 year veteran of the recording industry, beginning his life path as a musician, a recording engineer, sound designer, film composer and lastly, a music producer.

Graduating from the College for Recording Arts in San Francisco, Tim began his career in Nashville during the 1970’s as both a songwriter and a studio engineer.  Migrating to Munich, Germany in 1980, he began working in world class studios and became familiar with the world’s first Solid State Logic mixing consoles, now an industry standard world-wide. He was hired by Kendun Recorders in Burbank in 1981, where he worked with artists such as Christopher Cross, Quincy Jones, James Ingram, Devo, The Temptations, Gladys Knight, Atlantic Starr, DeBarge, Randy Meisner (The Eagles), Nazareth, Adrian Belew (King Crimson), and many others. Tim has worked on several Grammy Award winning productions, including “Arthur’s Theme” by Christopher Cross and “Just Once” by Quincy Jones and James Ingram.

During the 1990’s, Tim turned to the art of sound design, working with Disney, Buena Vista, and Fox Animation, on films such as Homeward Bound, Nightmare Before Christmas and Anastasia, corporate videos for Fortune 500 companies, and thousands of television commercials for advertising agencies from coast to coast. Tim has received hundreds of awards in this field, including the CLIO, Telly Awards, Addy Awards, and the London International Award. Building his own studio in 1995, Tim scored music for many independent films and advertising clients such as America West Airlines, Arizona Office of Tourism, Arizona’s Children’s Association and many others.

Continuing to diversify, he created the music and sound effects for cinematic sequences in Namco Hometeck’s video game “I-Ninja”, released for Nintendo and Sony Playstation.

In 1997, Tim was inspired to produce the soundtrack CD of the children’s parable “The Little Soul and the Sun” by Neale Donald Walsch, author of the New York Times top ten best seller “Conversations With God”. The CD was self-published, and self-promoted. Due to limited resources and few publishing contacts, “The Little Soul and the Sun” was out-of-print within a few short years.

Tim is currently seeking representation to serve as a catalyst in reviving this important work and to acquire world-wide distribution and marketing for “The Little Soul and the Sun Soundtrack CD” and for new material.
