Retreating vs. Fleeing; Handling Hostile Forces

Retreating vs. Fleeing; Handling Hostile Forces Mon. Aug. 24, 4pm PT, 7pm ET

ARetreating vs. Fleeing Handling Hostile Forcess we attempt to advance in our personal and spiritual work, sometimes retreating is the best choice.

Tune in tonight as Lisa Jones and I discuss how retreating or withdrawing should not to be confused with flight. To flee means we are trying to save ourselves, whereas retreat is a sign of strength. We must be careful to do self-care when we are in full possession of our personal power. Retreating means we have interpreted what is happening to us before it is too late.

Retreating is a provisional move ‘before’ we have been drawn into an undesirable life situation. Retreating does not mean we abandon our path in fear of these negative forces. Rather, we retreat to make it difficult for these influences to continue to impact our lives. In this way we prepare, while retreating, for a counter-movement. Understanding the laws of a constructive retreat is the key.

Vegan – ish? Perhaps A Nutrient Dense Diet Should Be The Real Talk

Tue. Aug. 18, 2015, 5pm PT, 8pm ET

veganishWhat is a vegan diet?  Why should I try a different diet?  Am I getting all the nutrients I need from my food?  Do you have to ‘follow’ a diet that others are labeling you with?  Perhaps you just eat healthy foods that support your life and body and do the best you can, is that ok?  What is a plant based diet?

Mielle Chenier-Cowan Rose is the author of “Veganish: The Omnivore’s Guide to Plant Based Cooking” which allows us to choose that path of nutrition that might suit us as an individual.  This book shares tips on how to get started with food items that you may not be familiar with.  Many recipes are included to balance a diet with nutrients we may be lacking.  Mielle shares her journey with health challenges that caused her to jump a little off the path of vegetarian and a mother to get dense nutrients in to heal the body.

Recognizing the Source of Your Inspiration

Mon. Aug. 17, 4pm PT, 7pm ET

InspirationMany people in doing personal growth have considerable talents and attractive qualities. In an effort to ‘give back’ to their communities, their command of the spotlight accomplishes more than most. But, how do you bring your gifts to the public and not get lost in the ego of it all.

Tune in this week as Lisa Jones and I discuss how we can only be as successful as our opportunities allow. We are not islands onto ourselves. Any brilliance we achieve is closely linked to the people with whom we relate. Recognizing the source of your inspiration and energy is part of a conscious effort to keep these universal forces in balance.

Tonight’s show is about how to be very “aware” of the world beyond the self. Who is giving you the chance to shine? Where is the source of your energy coming from? Acknowledge these helpful phenomena. Take time to understand and realize the universal integration of things and it will contribute immensely to your own evolution. This discussion offers the perspective of ‘appreciation’ regarding your life and circumstances.
